Weigh in results for Top Rank’s Saturday card on ESPN

Fresno, CA –  Undefeated fighter, Mike Reed (23-0, 12 KOs) will challenge undefeated champion, Jose Ramirez (20-0, 15 KOs) for Ramirez’s WBC Continental Americas title in a scheduled ten-round super lightweight bout Saturday night at the Save Mart Center. The championship title bout will be the main event televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes presented by Top Rank Boxing.

“If I knock him out, we don’t have to worry about the judges,” said Reed when asked by Top Rank’s Crystina Poncher if he had any worry about the judges, being that Fresno is Ramirez’s hometown. “Tomorrow night y’all will see why I came all the way from D.C. to put on a spectacular performance.”

“Expect a very strong, passionate fighter. Someone who won’t take a step back,” said Ramirez. “I don’t know what Mike Reed is thinking but tomorrow is going to be very tough. I have so much confident in myself. I worked really hard for this fight.”

Ramirez topped the scale at 139 lbs and Reed came in at 139.6 lbs at their official weigh in this morning at the Dave and Busters in Fresno.

In the co-main event, Russian, Artur Beterbiev (11-0, 11 KOs) looks to keep his unblemished record when he takes on Germany’s Enrico Koelling (23-1, 6 KOs) for the vacant IBF world light heavyweight title in a scheduled 12-round bout.

Beterbiev has yet to go past the seventh round, he’s knocked out every single one of his opponents to date. Tomorrow night, both Beterbiev and Koelling looked to become a world champion tomorrow night. Beterbiev weighed in at 174.6 lbs and Koelling weighed in at 174.4 lbs. 

Undefeated Alex Saucedo (25-0, 15 KOs) of Oklahoma will battle it out with Gustavo Vittori (20-2-1, 11 KOs) of Argentina for the WBO Latino title and the NABA USA title on the undercard of the Ramirez-Reed card. They weighed in at 139 lbs for Saucedo and 139.2 lbs for Vittori. 

Andy Vences (19-0, 11 KOs) will face Jairo Ochoa (16-12, 8 KOs) in a scheduled eight round bout. Vences weighed in at 132 lbs and Ochoa, who trains under former world champion, Daniel Ponce de Leon, weighed in at 131.4 lbs. 

Also on the card, Amir Imam (19-1, 16 KOs) will take on Johnny Garcia (19-5-1, 11 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round super lightweight bout. Imam weighed at 143.8 lbs and Garcia weighed in at 144.4. lbs. Fernando Fuentes (13-7-1, 4 KOs) of Riverside, CA will face Vislan Dalkhaev (9-0, 2 KOs) of Montreal, Canada in a scheduled six-round featherweight bout which will stream on the ESPN app as the opener bout. Fuentes weighed in at 124 lbs, and Dalkhaev weighed in at 123.4 lbs. Maxim Dadashev (8-0, 7 KOs) of Oxnard, CA will take on Clarence Booth (15-3, 8 KOs) of Florida in a scheduled eight-round super lightweight bout. Dadashev weighed in at 141.2 lbs, and Booth weighed in at 140.2 lbs. Alexander Besputin (7-0, 5 KOs) of Oxnard, CA will take on Juan Ruiz (20-0, 12 KOs) of Venezuela in a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout. Besputin weighed in at 147 lbs and Ruiz weighed in at 146.4 lbs. Quilisto Madera (7-0, 4 KOs) of Stockton, CA will take on Even Torres (6-5, 5 KOs) of El Paso, TX in a scheduled six-round middleweight (swing) bout. Madera weighed in at 161.6 lbs and Torres weighed in at 162 lbs. Bryan Luna (1-0) of Madera, CA will make his second professional appearance against Eric Rodriguez of Los Angeles, CA, who will make his pro debut in a scheduled four-round lightweight (swing) bout. Luna, who trains under Robert Garcia, weighed in at 135 lbs and Torres weighed in at 132.6 lbs.

The first bout will stream live on ESPN app at 4:30 PM PT. The ESPN/ESPN Deportes televised bouts will go live at 6:30 PM PT with Beterbiev vs. Koelling.
