Andy Vences Ready for Casey Ramos

Andy “El Tiburon” Vences is ready to take on Casey “The Wizard” Ramos in the main event of a Top Rank show on Friday, November 4 at the Treasure Island hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada after a very grueling two month camp.

Vences (16-0, 10 KOs) of San Jose, California and Ramos (23-0, 6 KOs) of Austin, Texas will battle for the WBC Continental Americas Super Featherweight title in a fight that will be telecast nationally by Unimas during their popular show Solo Boxeo.

“I am ready to get in the ring and take on Ramos, in what is the most important fight of my career. It has been a good and very productive camp and now it’s time to shine” said Vences during a media workout in San Jose, California.

Vences, who is 2-0 this year, will be looking for his third victory in 2016. He is very popular in northern California because of his aggressive style and “Never say die” attitude in the ring.

“The camp was tough and very intense but I got all my work done. I am very excited and anxious to get in the ring and to put everything we worked on to good use” said Vences.

Looking to be in the best shape possible for what will surely be a grinding battle, Vences not only came down to southern California to work and spar with featherweight world champion Oscar Valdez in the Rock Gym in Carson, California, put also had tough as nails Ivan “Bam Bam” Najera from San Antonio in his camp for two weeks.

“I did a lot of good work with both Valdez and Najera for this fight. Looking forward to this fight because I know a win will open a lot of doors for me in the future” said Vences who is train by Gabe Flores Sr.

Vences has gone the distance twice this year and it has been a learning experience for the young boxer, who had a stellar amateur career and won eight previous fights before the final bell.

“This fight is about winning and looking good doing it. The knockout is great but it has to come naturally”, said Vences.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. (Pacific) and all seats are $50* General Admission. They are on sale now at the TI Box Office. Or by phone by calling 800-392-1999 or 702-894-7722. This event is for ages 18 and older. *Ticket prices do not include box office service fees.
