WHAT: WSS and adidas LA/adidas Boxing celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with a fan in-store for four division World Boxing Champion and FOX Sports/Telemundo boxing analyst Abner Mares and World Champion boxer and Trainer of the Year Robert Garcia.

About Abner Mares: Abner Mares is one boxing’s most admired and revered athletes.  A four-division World Boxing champion and former Olympian, his warrior mentality inside the ring and his commitment to his community and philanthropy work outside the ring have made him an Americas hero. 

Born in Guadalajara, MX, he was raised in both Mexico and the United States, with his parents working multiple jobs to provide for their 11 children. He looks to re-enter the ring in 2020 and have a chance to earn his fifth world title.

Robert Garcia is a former two-time World Champion Boxer, current World Champion Boxing Trainer and former Boxing Trainer of the Year. Based in Riverside, CA, he runs the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy and trains current and former world champions including Mikey Garcia, Abner Mares, Josesito Lopez, Nonito Donaire, Brandon Rios, Fernando Vargas, Olympians Misael Rodriguez and Lindolfo Delgado and promising newcomer and former national champion Vergil Ortiz, Jr.
