The tiger roars in Tijuana: Landeros comes away with a knockout victory

Last night at the newly christened Big Punch Arena, in Tijuana Mexico Joseph “El Tigre” Landeros made good on the excitement surrounding his return to Baja California. A few miles away from the beach There was still an ocean of grey and black T-shirts emblazoned with “Team Landeros”. His fans were everywhere, coming from all over the country and crossing the border to watch Landeros face his toughest opponent to date. After taking the seemingly inevitable “Southpaw” headbutt in the first round. Landeros was able to quickly make adjustments to make full use of his Jab and start imposing body shots that caused a knockdown in the third round. By round 4 Landeros and his team had figured it out, his continued body attack set up a thunderous overhand right leaving his opponent facedown on the canvas to keep his Unblemished record and knockout streak alive. Post fight Landeros stated “It was certainly my toughest fight yet, having to adjust to a southpaw who was smaller than me caused some early head butts. He definitely brought power that he was able to land with. Ultimately my skill took over and we came out victorious”
