Michael Conlan leaves trainer Manny Robles, joins Adam Booth

Irish Olympian and current undefeated prospect Michael Conlan has announced that he is now being trained by British boxing trainer Adam Booth.

Conlan revealed it on Twitter this morning with a photo of both of them, which, without stating it, says that his partnership with Southern California’s Manny Robles is now over.

“It’s a pleasure to announce that I will now be trained by Adam Booth,” Conlan tweeted. “Looking forward to a great journey together towards world titles!”

Conlan (5-0, 4 KOs) is signed to Bob Arum’s Top Rank, after being quarted by multiple promotions following his bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic games. He made his debut in March of 2017 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in front of a passionate crowd on the holiday of St. Patrick’s Day.

The 26-year-old Conlan is likely fighting again this upcoming March, and will be now training closer to home instead of Los Angeles. Conlan has also stated that he and his wife are expecting another child, which also could have factored into the decision to part way with Robles and leave California.
